This course is intended for students who wish to qualify as electrical technicians and those who intend to acquire practical skills in the technology of electricity, electrical installation and maintenance. Furthermore, the electronic sector has more specialized services which are on great demand in the community such as repair of selected appliances or gadgets, designs and simulations, testing and assembly, modelling and set ups. Electronic appliances and gadgets are however more and more complex and are equipped with highly integrated circuits. This demands highly efficient laboratory equipment which we plan to have in our future plans.
This training is aimed at producing fashion designers who are relevant to the industry and world of work. It is learner-centered and competence-based. It emphasizes acquisition of skills by the learners, through practical teaching and execution of projects. During the studies the students learn for example how to tailor school uniforms, men’s wear, women’s wear, overalls, shirts, bridal dresses, kids wear, professional wearing’s as well as traditional African clothing.
Fashion and Garment Design is the art of applying design, aesthetics and natural beauty to clothing and its accessories. Fashion and Garment Designers work in a number of ways in designing clothing and accessories such as bracelets and necklaces. Fashion and Garment Designers attempt to design clothes which are functional as well as aesthetically pleasing. In addition, Tailoring Technology, Textile science, Pattern drafting, Fashion and Design practice and Real-Life Projects are aimed at equipping the learner with the core hands-on skills and techniques in the field of Fashion Design.
The continent of Africa is dependent on the vehicles because of a lacking infrastructure in the public transportation. Industry and trade require well-maintained lorries and daily most of the people use transport to manage their way to work. Even for tourism transport plays an important role. Vehicles therefore have to be maintained and repaired on a regular basis. This course is intended for students who may wish to qualify as motor Vehicle Mechanics and Technicians.
The good condition of a vehicle is essential. Repairs and attendances need to be done quite often and still the often-missing spare parts must be quickly available and reliably installed. Modern cars are equipped with mechanical, electrical, electronic and computerized parts and components on a high technical level.
Furthermore, fabrication techniques help our students to become familiar with production skills of the following products which are essential in our African communities;
- Metal gates and doors.
- Metal constructions (beams, roofs, trusses)
- Metal windows.
- Door locks.
- Window grills, grids.
- Metal stairs and handrails.
- Sheet metal coverings, panelling.
- Sheet metal containers, tanks.
We provide enhanced lathe skills in shoes making, lathe turning, at very small beginner levels. Uganda in particular has a very rich supply of lather turning raw materials, however, the key industrial requirements and equipment still require a great scope to fully functionalize this sector. As this sector grows and widens, our students will be very well prepared to grab the first available opportunities as a result of the trainings given at our workshop. The more facilities we are able to acquire, the more advanced trainings our students will receive in lathe safety, manual turning, lathe skilling, machine operation, shoes making, and many other lather products.
Our students are trained in both, beauty therapy and hair dressing. In this case our students are able to handle continental clients in all sectors. They major in one sector and do national exams in the first year. Our students have the basic practical and theoretical skills in the beauty industry concerning the above services though more practical experience is gained at the end of year two.
Our students are trained to be self-employed and best employees in the industry because an additional business subject is added on their training. The beauty skills in the country and worldwide are on a high demand and therefore we have adopted it as a solution to the unemployment problem among the youths in Uganda today. The study goes even beyond the subject-based, theoretical and practical contents: We provide education that prepares the students for being able to become self-employed. Uganda’s hotel industry is tailored to the tourist industry which is one of the world’s largest industries with an enormous potential for expansion. The hotel industry in Uganda is continually growing especially as more private entrepreneurs venture into the hotel and restaurant sector. With the added number of upcoming hotels and restaurants, new jobs will be created. There will be need for hoteliers with appropriate social skills, practical competences and managerial abilities.
The general objective of the course is to equip the trainees with skills, knowledge and attitudes that will enable them become competent and confident hotel managers who will contribute in providing quality services to customers in the hospitality industry in Uganda and internationally.

The Hotel Management School has a well-equipped demonstration kitchen, bakery, coffee shop, a functional kitchen and restaurant used as a laboratory for providing hands-on-training for the students.
Pottery & Ceramics skills introduces pottery as an art form and explores the basics of forming and shaping clay. This course introduces glazing, firing, designing and kiln loading. Students receive an overview of the history of ceramics and acquire techniques in hand-building. Programs may require students to create glaze notebooks, which allow them to record accrued glaze recipes, preparation facts and application techniques. These notes are used when students begin experimenting on a variety of pottery projects.
Media designers play an essential role in the world of media and advertising, whose importance keeps increasing even in Africa. The working field covers creative and structured work with ideas, texts and photos, pictures, art, colors and shapes by making use of the necessary computer software (Adobe Creative Suite) for the best results.
The second focal point of the studies is the printing process. The students are hands-on the machines, they should be interested in mechanical processes as well as in the creative realization of their own designs and ideas.
